Kathryn J. Waubanascum, age 71, of Neopit, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home. Kathryn was born in Shawano on October 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Merton and Victoria (Grignon) Everson. She was united in marriage to William "Junior" Waubanascum, Jr. on February 1, 1969 in Shawano. Kathryn worked as a teacher's aide for 22 years at the Menominee Middle School. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit and enjoyed fishing, watching the Packers, going to Pow Wows, and loved watching her grandchildren play sports.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, William "Junior"; four children, Michael (Bridget Claire) of Green Bay, Brent (Sandra) of De Pere, William III (Regina) of Neopit, and Dean (Shawna) of Tacoma, WA; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is further survived by her sisters, Ruth Lohnes of N.D., Romaine (Orland) Delebreau of Neopit, and Lee Ann Nacotee of Neopit.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Michael, Timothy, Melva, Edward, Joseph, and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 until the time of the services. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
