Kay Frances Schroeder, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her home in Shawano. She was born on July 24, 1951 to the late Myron and Frances (Foster) Herrick in Tomahawk. Kay graduated from Minoqua High School and established her own cleaning business. She was united in marriage to Dennis Schroeder on April 4, 2003 in North Carolina. She enjoyed studying the Bible and was a member of Hope Community Church in Shawano. She loved animals and her time spent at the cottage on Shawano Lake. Kay was fond of the bullfrogs she heard singing and visiting her at her dock and tried to protect them from harm. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Bronson (Amy Nehring) Kahl, and Danielle Kahl; stepchildren, Paul Schroeder, Matthew Schroeder and Jason Schroeder; grandchildren, Destiny (fiancé, Andrew Hokenstad) Kahl, Bronson Spicer, Tritan Contreras, and Claire Schroeder; great granddaughter, Lennon; and brothers and sisters, Myron "Roger" (Teresa) Herrick, Loren "Buzzy" (Nancy) Herrick and Myra Dallmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kay is preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Kahl and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Hope Community Church in Shawano. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in the Town of Belle Plaine.
