Kay Waupoose, age 50, of Shawano, formerly of Kansasville, WI passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 in Shawano. Born on July 18, 1961 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Alexander J. Waupoose II and Clara (Tucker) Ponfil. After graduating from Union Grove High School and attending UW Parkside, Kay spent her career in sales and also tended bar for many years. When not working, Kay loved spending time with her family, enjoyed camping, cooking and loved the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes". She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Kay was a caring person who would go out of her way to help someone and would do anything to help her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Kay is survived by: her 4 children, Bobbi Jo (Robert) Rasmussen of Franksville, Alecia Waupoose of Green Bay, Kristin Waupoose of CA, Darin Waupoose of Shawano; 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, Colton, Aubrey; and 4 brothers, Stuart Waupoose of Shawano, Alex J. Waupoose III of Keshena, Richard (Marylin) Waupoose of Trevor, and Wade (Shelly) Waupoose of Sturtevant. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the St. Michael's Parish Hall from 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service on Wednesday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
