Keith (Boogieman) Donald Klitz, Sr., age 48, lost his battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. He was fearless as he approached his diagnosis; showing strength and positivity to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Keith was born March 3, 1978, in Shawano and was tagged boogieman by his mom to keep him off the stairs growing up. She told him there was a boogieman up there so as a toddler he would walk around pointing upstairs whispering… shhhh boogieman. After high school graduation Keith entered the United States Marines serving his country proudly until he was honorable discharged remaining a proud marine. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit.

Boogieman is survived by his adoptive mother, Joan Delabreau, who was with him from the very beginning of his life; fiancé, Natalie Pecore; children, Keith Klitz, Jr., Caprice Gomeyosh and Andrea Miller; dog, Fritz; brothers, Richard “Chester” (Valente) Avila and Darrel Delabreau; special brother, Mike Cook; special grandmother, Rose Wayka; aunts, Luanna Dickenson, Robin Maskewit and Sandra (Richard) Jesko; nephew, Francis Delabreau; niece, Tiffany Cook; cousins, Joleen White, Alegra Fowler, Alea Cox, Carey Wayka, Alden Payne, Jennifer Fowler, Brianna Fowler, Kaske Fowler, Robert Webster, Chauncey Webster, Troy Webster, Dugan Webster, Bronson Webster, Greg Fowler, Keith Fowler, Bernard Fowler, Scott Fowler, Gordon Pocan, Michelle Gonzalez, Kammy Jo Wayka, Nicolet Wayka, Clarence Fish, Jan Chevalier, Stacey Fowler, Bettina Miller and Debbie (Harold) Bowman; aunt-in-laws, Ava Fowler and Fairyal Fowler; mother-in-law, Polly Pleshek; sisters-in-law, Patricia Delabreau, Racheal (Jay) Pecore, Keri Pecore, Cherra (Billy) Nietzer and Brittany (Randy) Pranke; brothers-in-law, Les Welch and Bradley (Ted) Pecore. He is further survived by numerous friends on the Menominee Reservation, special marine buddies and fellow MTE mill workers, especially Dana Madosh and Charles James.

Boogieman is preceded in death by his mother, Andrea Klitz Webster; special father, Donald Maskewit; brothers Calvin Klitz and Francis Delabreau; aunts, Jacqueline, Joann, Clara, Verna, Shirley and Sr. Jeanette; uncles, Dustin, Eugene, Sanford, Bernard, Leon, Albert, Calvin and Llewellyn; cousins, Alvin Fish, Vincent Fish and Sanford Fowler, III; maternal grandparents, Marlene and Llewellyn Dickenson; paternal grandparents, James and Christine Webster; great-grandparents, Sanford and Louise Fowler.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Tejerero, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Military Honors will be conducted by the Menominee Veterans at the church following the service.
