Keith L. “Buck” Moesch, 92, of Shawano passed away on September 3, 2026, in Shawano. Born on May 8, 1934, in Hayes, WI. His parents were the late Oscar and Elaine (Olson) Moesch, of Shawano.
Keith attended Shawano High School until moving to Milwaukee to work at ER Godfrey Warehouse. Keith enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served for two years, stationed in Germany. Keith was honorably discharged on November 30, 1955. Upon being discharged, Keith returned to Milwaukee and ER Godfrey Warehouse. While in Milwaukee, Keith met Mariann Krause of Shawano. They would share rides from Milwaukee to Shawano, where their families lived. Keith and Mariann were married on April 19, 1958, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. In 1967, Keith and Mariann and their four children moved to Shawano and opened Buck’s Bar, which they operated for five years. While operating their bar, Keith purchased his well-known septic business, in 1970. They continued to run both businesses until 1972, when they sold Buck’s Bar and purchased land from Keith’s parents, where they built their home and raised their family and lived for 53 years. Keith continued operating his septic business for 34 years, until his retirement in 2004.
Keith was a life-long hunter and fisherman. In retirement, Keith enjoyed spending time at his cabin with family, and taking rides through the trails, he groomed. Keith would spend numerous hours maintaining his yard. You could often find Keith meeting with friends for coffee at Farm Inn on Main or at auctions and rummage sales. Keith and Mariann enjoyed attending and hosting Packer parties with friends. They also enjoyed watching Brewer’s games together.
Keith is survived by his wife Mariann Moesch of 68 years; children, Brian (Jane) Moesch, Debra DuQuaine, Mark Moesch, and Tom Moesch; five grandchildren, Amanda (JJ) VanCampenhout, Emily (Chris) Cornelius, Jacob Moesch, Josh Moesch, and Kimberly Moesch; five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Lily Ferrington, Austin and Vanna VanCampenhout, and Charlotte Cornelius; sisters-in-law, Luann Moesch and Judy Moesch; and brother-in-law, Donnie Mattes.
