Lacy Michele
Komanekin
Oct 23, 1987 — Apr 7, 2026
Shawano
Lacy M. Komanekin, 38, died on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, she began her journey to join our relatives in the spirit world. Lacy was born on October 23, 1987, in Sioux City, Iowa to Thomas and Rhonda Komanekin.
She attended school in Manitowoc and Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was enrolled as a member of Bad River Tribe of Wisconsin and ancestral descendant of the Menominee Nation.
She was the mother of Samara and Nevaeh Alloway. Also, Noapeh and Hyanna Luebke. She left behind the joy of her life, Mia Michele Tourtillot. Lacy loved each of them dearly and never gave up hope of uniting them all one day.
Although she lived a short 38 years, she left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her. She always had a smile, a laugh like no other, and the ability to make light out of anything. Like most of the Komanekin girls, terms of endearment came with sarcasm and teasing. Lacy was no different. Laughter was her medicine, and we are thankful she shared it with us.
Lacy was the epitome of strength and resilience. The fire that fueled her spirit never seemed to dissipate. Despite her own struggles, she often offered support and encouragement to others facing the same battle. She did her absolute best to persevere. Her fighting spirit is what we will miss most. Her struggles are no more. We ask for prayers for her and her loved ones as she makes her journey home.
Those waiting for her include paternal grandparents James, Sr., and Marjorie Komanekin; aunts and uncles, Karen Martin, Nancy Komanekin, Joseph Komanekin, James Komanekin, Jr., Connie Komanekin, Kurt Komanekin, Sr., and Lisa Komanekin.
