Obituary

Larry G. "Unc" Gast, age 74, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home. He was born in Shawano on March 25, 1942 to the late Hugo and Ruby (Dickow) Gast.  Larry served our country in Army during the Korean Conflict. He has lived in Shawano all his life and enjoys fishing and watching the Packers.
Larry is survived by: six children, Ann Gast, Tina (Rod) Christensen, Doug (Brenda) Gast, Jessica (Matt) Martens, Janet Brandt and Sarah Gast; grandchildren, Justina Revall, Anthony Druckrey, Olivia Biertzer, Kelsey Gast, Lucas Gast, Isabella Martens, Madison Brandt and Brayden Martens.  He is further survived by his great-grandchildren, Mhylei and Tinisa; his siblings, Derald (Barb) Gast, Leah-Rae Seehafer and Patricia Krasin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Shawano AMVETS.  Inurnment will be in the Zion Rest Cemetery in Gresham.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
