Larry R. Heling, age 58 of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home. Born on August 30, 1954 in Shawano, he was the son of Betty (Krause) and the late Donald Heling. After attending high school, Larry enlisted with the United States Armed Forced. After his honorable discharge from service, he went to work at Oshkosh Truck. In his free time, Larry enjoyed working on cars, watching the stock car races, loved drag racing, and fishing. Larry is survived by: his mother, Betty Heling of Gillett; 7 siblings, Dennis (Michelle) Heling of Watertown, Jeffrey (Karen) Heling of Marion, Karen (William) Bullock of Gillett, Sandra (Daniel) Bullock of Gillett, Glen (Kathy) Heling of Shawano, Michelle (Michael) Hewitt of Kimberly, Robert Krause of Milwaukee; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Jennifer Heling and Angela (Tim) Johnson; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Skip Robertson officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117 at the funeral home following the service. Inurnment will be in the Union Cemetery in Tigerton.
