Obituary
Larry E. Kallies, age 57 of Shawano, died on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was born on April 18, 1960 in Oconto Falls, the son of the late Edward and Marie (Olson) Kallies. The family lived in Cecil from 1960-1965 and then moved to Shawano where Larry attended St. James Lutheran School and graduated from Shawano High School in 1978. He was united in marriage to Linda Wege, in Clintonville, on April 30, 1983. Larry worked as a sexton at Woodlawn Cemetery with his father from 1978-2006. For several years he drove bus for the Shawano School District, as well as City Cab and Northcentral Medical Transport. He was an avid snow-mobiler, enjoyed attending concerts, watching the Packers and flower gardening. He also had a good time watching Shawano Dirt Racing.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Erin (Dave); his sister, Judy (Donald) Manthei of Cecil; mother-in-law, Agnes Wege; in-laws, Dorothy (Terry) Miller, Gerald Wege, Cliff (Pat) Wege; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 pm until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
