Mossholder
November 20, 1943 – July 30, 2022
Larry A. Mossholder, age 78 of Pulaski, passed away July 30, 2022 with family by his side at Bellin Hospital. He was born November 20, 1943, to the late Herbert and Dorothy (Van Wyk) Mossholder. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1961. He served in the US Army Reserves. After, he returned home to farm with his Dad and uncle. He worked in the dairy industry. He and his wife owned Mossholder Farms, farming and making cheese. He was united in marriage to Lois Geer at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center May 14, 1966. He then moved to Pulaski in 2001 and continued raising beef and crops. He enjoyed farming, his horses, showing cattle, and enjoyed watching Nascar races on TV. He was a member of Hortonville American Legion Post #55, member and leader of 4-H, served on the Board of Directors as Vice President and President of the 4-H Leaders Association of Outagamie County; and Treasurer of Outagamie Holstein Association. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Church and served on the council. He transferred to St. Paul Evangelical Church of Zachow and served on their council. He was also a member of Fox Cities Horsemen and WI Simmental Association.
Larry is survived by: his wife, Lois; children, Bonnie Mossholder-Zillmer, Lisa Mossholder, and Becky (Paul) De Muth; grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie), Cassie (special friend, Travis Hollett), Brandon, Rebecca (Fiance, Jakub Hribal), and Lucas; and great grandchild, Dixie Joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy (Van Wyk) Mossholder.
A funeral service for Larry will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zachow with Pastor Kurt Kluge officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery with military rites by Hortonville American Legion. Visitation will be held at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Monday August 1, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm and also at church Tuesday, August 2, 2022 starting at 9:30 am until the time of service.
