Obituary

Laura M. "Dee Dee" Slechta, age 59 of Bowler passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her home. Born on September 4, 1958 in Milwaukee, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (McGee) Moon.  Laura lived in Racine for most of her life, moving to Bowler in 2013.  She was known for always making people laugh and smile.  Dee Dee loved having fun with her children and grandchildren.
Laura is survived by: her children, Jamie Slechta of Cicero, IL, Roxy (Nathan) Leger of Madison, Daniel Slechta of Racine and Lori Slechta of Racine; four grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Jonathan and Benjamin; her siblings, Robert Little of Gresham, Dana "Sonny" Price of Bowler and Delbert Moon of Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Dennis and Fred; sister, Charlene Moon; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Little.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
