Laura Voyles, age 56, passed away at her home in Shawano, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday April 14, 2023. Laura was born in Orange, California on May 25, 1966, daughter of Walt Conkey and the late Bobbie Jo (McCall) Conkey. On April 21, 2007, Laura was united in marriage to Danny Voyles in Gillette, Wyoming. Laura furthered her education at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She went on to pursue a career at the ABC Carpet and Home Design in New York city. She also worked at the Home Depot in Gillette, Wyoming as their HR manager. She was a talented decorator and enjoyed doing crafts. Laura loved Shawano Lake. She spent many wonderful days boating, swimming, and floating and hanging out at the Sandbar. Laura was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Laura is survived by: the love of her life and best friend, Danny Voyles; her stepchildren, Tyler Voyles, Scotty Voyles and Miranda Voyles; three granddaughters, Chevelle, Oakley and Harligh; two grandsons, Stetson and Mason; her goddaughter, Brittani (Ross) Luedtke; her father, Walt Conkey; and her brother, Wally (Sarah) Conkey.  She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Jo Conkey.

A celebration of life for Laura is being planned for August.

Laura's family would like to extend a very special thank you to Laura's best friend, Diane Roberts, Aunt Pam Crouch, and Aunt Lisa May for being there for Laura when she needed them the most.  The unending love and care shown to Laura will never be forgotten.
