Obituary
Lawrence "Tezzie" Coon, age 93, of Cecil, formerly of Wisconsin Dells, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home. Born on March 19, 1923 in Adams, WI, he is the son of the late Warren and Emma (Nehring) Coon. On April 19, 1947, he was united in marriage to Angeline Margetts in Oxford, Wisconsin. Tezzie is a proud veteran of World War II and was a member of the Cecil American Legion Post #392 and the Oxford VFW Post #6003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Lawrence is survived by: his wife of almost 70 years, Angeline; their children, Emma (Lee) Ebel of Cecil, Linda (Jerry) Markiewicz of Spruce, John (Linda) Coon of Cecil and Gary (June) Coon of Wisconsin Dells; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; two sisters, Rowena Kimball and Frances Trojan both of Wisconsin Dells and one brother, Robert (Carolyn) Coon of Delafield.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers and a grandson, Michael Ebel.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
