Reverend Lawrence K. Hamann, age 96, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 in Shawano. Lawrence was born on January 3, 1920 in the Town of Richmond to the late Emil and Alvina (Hoffmier) Hamann.  On December 22, 1943, he was united in marriage to Vivian Carter in Shawano.  Vivian preceded him in death on November 1, 2009.  Lawrence was the pastor of Spoken Word Church.

Reverend Hamann is survived by his children, LaRayne (Tim) Mercer of Troy, OH, Ronald (Cheri) Hamann of Apple Valley, MN, and William (Judy) Hamann Sr. of Shawano; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, his parents, and one brother, Ervin.

Private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Public visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. It is requested that all women attending the service must wear a dress.
