August 3, 1941 – November 16, 2024
Lawrence Arnold "Larry" Gueller, age 83, of Keshena passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 16, 2024, at his home. Lawrence was born in Shawano, Wisconsin on August 3, 1941, son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Jensen) Gueller. After graduating from high school Larry earned degrees in History and English from U.W. Oshkosh. Following college Larry enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably in Vietnam. In 1978, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Bartell in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The couple spent 40 wonderful years together before Marilyn's passing in 2018. After Larry and Marilyn were married, Larry chose to continue his education and earned an associate degree in electrical engineering from NWTC. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent volunteering with the Boy Scouts where he served as scoutmaster for troop 1113 while his son Paul was growing up. Larry was passionate about railroading history and model trains. He was working on a long-term project about logging railroads and was a published contributor and author on the subject. He had a love for all animals and was involved with PETA and local Humane Societies. Over the years he rescued or fostered several Keeshond dogs. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
Larry is survived by: his son, Paul Gueller; grandchildren, Hudson, Jackson, Georgia and Weston; siblings, Jon (Betty) Gueller, Julie (Dale) Huebner, Frederick (Judy) Gueller, Jane (Elwyn) Rank and Ann (Tom) Ammerman. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
