Obituary

Leila Clara Jean “Miss Daisy” Little, age 96, of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in Shawano. Leila was born on June 20, 1930, in Embarrass, Wisconsin to the late William and Louise (Koeller) Hildebrandt. On May 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Wilford W. Little at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Stony Hill. The couple spent a wonderful 63 years together before Wilford’s passing in 2015. Leila helped Wilford on the farm and worked for the Shawano-Gresham School District for 20 years as assistant to the head cook. She was an excellent baker famous for her sour cream sugar cookies and cherry tort and often gave them to the teachers at the school. Leila was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham and was active in the Ladies Aid. She spent countless hours in her yard gardening, landscaping, and feeding and watching the birds. In her free time she enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and sharing family stories.

Leila is survived by her children, Sandra (Bob Huffman) Anderson and Gregory (Sandy) Little; grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Little and Tymber Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Anysa and Gavin; and a brother, Ray Hildbrandt. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Leila is preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Little; son-in-law, William Anderson; grandson, Evan Little; parents, William and Louise Hildebrandt; and siblings, Lawrence, Elmer, Shirley, Selma, Dorothy, Jeanette, Clarence and Carl.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Richard Buhrke officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery in Gresham.
