Lena L. Treptow, age 91 of Bonduel, formerly of Shawano, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Bonduel. Born on July 13, 1920 in Bowler, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Gogolin) Brackob. Lena lived in Shawano County all her life where she worked at Thimke Jewelry until her retirement in 1978. On December 1, 1940 she was united in marriage to August W. Treptow. Lena was a good and faithful member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano where she taught Sunday school. She was also active as a Baja Wolf. Lena is survived by: 2 sons, Lance (Beth) Treptow of Omro, Jon (Sandy) Treptow of Spirit Lake; a daughter-in-law, Judy Treptow of Sturgeon Bay; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Freda Krueger of Bonduel and Ramona Lautenschlager of Wheaton, IL. Lena was preceded in death by: her husband, August on June 12, 1999; a son, William Treptow; a daughter, Terri in infancy; her parents; a brother; and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Marty Black officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Bonduel on Thursday after 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
