Leon Henry Pluedeman, age 82, passed away on June 16, 2024, in Green Bay. He was born on October 14, 1941, to the late Henry and Esther (Bendickson) Pluedeman in Bonduel, WI. He graduated from Bonduel High School and worked as a farmer for many years. He also was the grounds keeper for the Lunds Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Leon was proud of his full-blooded Norwegian and German heritage and was a patriot to his core. He was the nicest critic when it came to people who cooked for him. Though Leon was a simple man, he was helpful to everyone in need. He loved visiting with his family and friends and enjoyed spending time watching Brewers games, finishing jigsaw puzzles, and listening and singing to his favorite music. He found peace in nature and loved walking in the woods and observing the wildlife around him. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was contagious.  Leon was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Leon is survived by: his sister, Janet Peotter; his special friend and caregiver Jessica Hanna; his nieces and nephews, Ann (Brian) Danke, Carol Thomas, Lynn (Jon) Tyczkwski, Scott (Judy) Peotter, Brian (Jonna) Peotter, and Julie Peotter. He is further survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents Henry and Esther, his sister Mary (Mike) Kupsky and Elaine (Dick) Thomas; his brother-in-law David Peotter; his nephew Peter Thomas.

A memorial service for Leon will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday until the time of service. Burial will be held at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery following services.
