Obituary
Leroy "Lee" Anthony Slewinski, age 75, of Cecil, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Leroy was born in Milwaukee on November 2, 1940, the son of the late Julius and Florence (Nowak) Slewinski. On May 12, 1962, he was united in marriage to Constance M. Moesch in Muskego, WI. The couple lived in Milwaukee and Leroy worked at W.J. Lazynski before moving to Shawano in 1976. After moving to Shawano, he worked at Northland Foods, and later owned and operated Lee'z Restaurant and Lee'z Gas Station as well as Country Inn and Suites until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and boating as well as feeding and watching wildlife. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and football and going to his cabin.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie; their three children, Gregory Slewinski, Scott (Jason Berkhahn) Slewinski, and Lisa (Joe Michonski) Risen all of Shawano; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Fiancée, Courtney Cook) Slewinski of Grand Chute, Jamie Slewinski of Bonduel, and Joshua (Kayla) Slewinski of Shawano; as well as four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Lillian, Emma, and Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
