Obituary

Leslie "Mona" Ehlen, age 67, of New Franken, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Milwaukee. Born on October 21, 1950 in Keshena, she is the daughter of the late Emil and Helen (Grignon) Sackatook.  On June 12, 1985 she was united in marriage to James Ehlen in Green Bay.  Mona is a graduate of Shawano High School and enjoyed traveling with friends, cooking, camping and vacationing at her cottage in Crivitz.  She is a member of Prince of Peace Church in the Town of Bellvue.
Leslie is survived by: her husband, James; seven children, Frances Sackatook of Washington D.C., Amy James of MN, Ann (fiancé, Stan Kritcher) James of Green Bay, LaVara (Tracy) Pierner of Janesville, Michael James of Keshena, Joni Rae Ehlen of Green Bay and Leonard Fields of New Franken; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Chelsea, Samantha, Mercedes, Arianna, Camille, Tianni, Emery, Michael, Jr., Kaelyn, Adrielle and Shayla; seven great-grandchildren.  She is further survived by her brother, Joe Sackatook, Sr.; her sister, Marla Wayka; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Helen Sackatook; and two sisters, Jean Sackatook and Laurie Sackatook.
Funeral services for Mona will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center starting on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 5:30 pm until the time of the service on Saturday. A parish wake service will be held at the community center on Friday at 5:00 pm.
