Obituary

Lillian W. Heller, age 94, of the Town of Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020.  Lillian was born on August 17, 1926 to the late Paul and Helene (Schmidt) Polzin, in the Town of Washington.  Lillian graduated from Bonduel High School in 1945 and later worked in food services at Concordia College in Milwaukee.  On July 15, 1950, Lillian was wedded to the late Paul Heller.  The couple resided for the next seven years in Plainsboro, N.J. before returning to Wisconsin.  Lillian was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church – White Clay Lake, where she regularly attended bible study and served as an officer of the Ladies Aid.  She was a longtime leader of the A-Z 4-H club and later worked for the Shawano County Extension Office before retiring.  Lillian was an avid gardener who will be remembered for the many varieties of flowers found in her flowerbeds throughout the seasons.  She also spent countless hours quilting and sewing.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.  Her faith was a witness to all.

Lillian is survived by; her children, Caroline (Dan) Marks of Seymour, Kathy Stoltenow of Shawano, Keith (Susan) Heller of Appleton and Laurel (Thomas) Krause of Gillett; grandchildren, Paul (Connie) Marks, Kevin (Katie) Marks, Scott (Angie) Marks, Adam Stoltenow, Timothy Stoltenow, Andrew (Kristin) Heller, Amber (Mark) Ortell, Allen Heller, Dustin (Megan Kleiber) Krause, Nicholas (Megan) Krause and Logan Krause; thirteen great grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Homan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1976; her mother and father, Helene and Robert Polzin; great grandson, Konor Marks; sister, Viola Muck; son-in-law, James Stoltenow; father and mother-in-law, August and Caroline Heller and brothers-in-law, Bruce Homan, Bernard Muck, Kenneth (Marcella) Heller and August (Dorothy) Heller.

Due to Covid19, private family services were held.

The family of Lillian would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Kindred Hearts, Heartland Hospice and the members of Immanuel Lutheran Church – White Clay Lake.
