Lily Bennett, age 102 years, 8 months and 11 days, of Bonduel, passed away at Meadowview Assisted Living in Bonduel on Friday, August 11, 2017. Lily was born on December 4, 1914 in the Town of Green Valley, Shawano County, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Werner) Kanzenbach.  She was baptized, confirmed and was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Green Valley.  After attending school in Advance, Wisconsin, she later went to work in the northern suburbs of Chicago where she met and married Albion M. Bennett, who was an earlier friend from back in Green Valley.  They were married in Evanston, Illinois on December 28, 1933 and later moved back to Wisconsin.


Lily leaves behind two sons, Philip M. (Sharon nee, Manthei) Bennett of Sun Prairie, WI and their son Ryan T. (Jennifer) Bennett of Denver, CO and great-grandsons, Jonathan and Tye; John (Rose) Bennett of Green Valley, WI and their children Kelly (Tim) Lindal, Shelly (Dean) Egnarski, Roxann Elsner, Justin Bennett, Missy Jacobson, Chrissy (Troy) Gauthier and great-grandchildren, Dustin, Nicole, Katelyn, Garrett, Allison, Cody, Colton, Courtney, Sadie, Rylen, Kendra, Reegan, Jensen, Sawyer, Tylor, Madyson, Teah, Maria and Kali; great great-grandchildren, Owen and Harlee; one daughter, Geraldine A. (Bennett) Hansen of Oconto Falls, WI and her children, Scott Hansen, Brian Hansen, Lynn Hansen and her husband, Scott Konitzer and Chad Hansen; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albion; her daughter, Joan; her brothers, Arthur, Alvin and Herbert Kanzenbach; her sister, Elsie Kanzenbach Dittman; her granddaughter, Michelle and her son-in-law, Carl Hansen.


Funeral services for Lily will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St John's Lutheran Church, Green Valley with Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery following the service.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Concluding the services, a luncheon will be served.  Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.  Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
