Obituary

Linda Lou McGlin, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday October 3, 2025, in Green Bay. Linda was born on May 5, 1947, in Carter, Wisconsin to the late Harold J. and Rose B. (Montour) Collins. She graduated from Shawano High School and owned and operated Cecil Sport Shop. Linda was devoted to her faith and was very active at St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil. She acted as church treasurer for many years. She enjoyed line dancing, thrifting, doing puzzles and crosswords. Linda always enjoyed traveling when she could, especially the beach. Her favorite music was classic country. Linda was a quiet and well-mannered woman with a gentle soul. She was a calm mother and dear friend to many. Her grandchildren were her world, and her family loved her cooking most notably her deviled eggs, potato salad and mac and cheese. Linda was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend; she will be deeply missed.

Linda is survived by her children, Tuesday (Jeff Wanner) Heesacker, Annette Paiser, Julie (Chris) Lancelle, Jolene Paiser, James (Michelle) McGlin and Bill (Chad) McGlin; grandchildren, Jenna, Emmy, Hali, Hannah, Teona, Lorissa, Autumn, Katalina, Allison and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Aria, Olivia, Oliver and one on the way; her best friend, Bev; and siblings, Jean (Reginald) Doxtater of Green Bay, Rolland "Ron" Collins of Gillett and Jill (Jonea) Collins of Buda, Texas.

Linda is preceded in death by her beloved cat, Patches; parents, Harold and Rose; siblings, James Collins and Sue Collins; and sister-in-law, Claris Collins.

A funeral service for Linda will be held at 11:00 am on Monday October 6, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Moira Finley. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes all donations to be made to your choice of Animal Shelter, Rescue, or Humane Society in honor of Linda.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 4th floor staff and the palliative care team of Bellin Hospital in Green Bay for their attentive care of Linda.
