Linda M. (Wheeler) Unger, 58, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

After living most of her life in the Green Bay area, Linda moved to Shawano after her marriage to the late Robert Unger, Jr. on January 5, 2001. After Robert's death in 2013, she continued to live in Shawano with her daughter, son-in-law, her beloved grandchildren, and her dog Buster.

Linda is survived by: her children, Jessica (Jack) Young and Stephanie (Fiancé Jimmy Tesch) Hathaway; and her grandchildren, Dominic, Sophia, and Leonardo Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert.

A gathering will be held at the American Legion, 850 S. Lincoln Street, Shawano on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Linda's memorial fund.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wound care nurses at Theda Care for the love and support shown to Linda over the years.
