Lloyd "Lee" Anthony Ebert, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, in Shawano. He was born on January 2, 1942, to the late Lloyd and Rosella (White) Ebert in Green Bay, WI and grew up in Briarton, WI. Lee attended Bonduel High School and St. Norbert College. He was united in marriage to Karen A. Kraemer on September 14, 1963, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Green Bay. Lee had a long career in the utility field starting at WPS in Green Bay and then managing several utility operations in Wisconsin and Michigan where he was always looking to innovate. This included holding multiple registered patents. He was known for being a tireless and principled worker who was always guided by his strong moral compass. Lee often had people laughing quickly with his charm and wit. Lee had a natural love of learning, a passion for aviation and read widely. He shared his love and appreciation of the outdoors with his family. He was active in multiple organizations including the Rotary Club, Lion's Club, JC's and Knights of Columbus where he served as Grand Knight, council #5008, for three years. Lee's family took priority in his life, always there to support them and will be dearly missed.
Lee is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Karen Ebert; his children Sean (Patti) Ebert, Sheila (Todd) Hamilton; his grandchildren, Alexander and Daniel Ebert, and James, Alexis, and Jackson Hamilton, his sisters-in-law, Maureen Betz, Karen Lee Kraemer, Karen Marie Kraemer, and Lois Kraemer; his brother-in-law Michael (Patricia) Kraemer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents Lloyd and Rosella; his brother John Ebert; his father and mother-in-law Edmund and Florelda Kraemer, and brothers-in-law, Edmund Kraemer and Donald Kraemer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating.
