Lloyd Otto Koeller, age 93, of Bonduel passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2026, in Wausau. Lloyd was born on May 29, 1932, in Shawano to the late Alfred and Emma (Degner) Koeller. In 1950, he graduated from Shawano High School and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. On January 2, 1954, Lloyd was united in marriage to Rosemary Hohner in Shawano. He worked for Skelgas for over 20 years as a truck driver and part time at the Shawano Police Department. After retirement, Lloyd volunteered his time as a driver for Shawano County and Lakeland Industries. He was a member and a past commander of the American Legion and State Offices 40&8. Lloyd loved taking the Honor Flights to Washington D.C. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 72 years, Rosemary; children, Vince (Deb) Koeller, Sue (Paul) Hintz, Ellie Luebke, Patti (Carl) Maple, Deb (Russ) Becker and Doug (Deb) Koeller; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Shane) Mentzel, Corey Hintz, Amy Hintz, Heidi (David) Burris, Nichole Alfau, Anthony Luebke, Jeremy Peterson, Heather (Jeremy) Schultz and Ashley (Derek) Nueske; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Ciera; five brothers, Arlie Koeller, Ervin Koeller, Harvey Koeller, Alvin Koeller and John Koeller; three sisters, Arleen Koeller, Dorothy Kunschke and Beatrice Beilfuss; and parents, Alfred and Emma Koller.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday March 30, 2026, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano, with Rev. David Kaiser officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Sunday March 29, 2026, being at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will being again on Monday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Military honors will be conduct by the American Legion Post #117. Burial will be held at Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the Ronald McDonald House or the Honor Flight.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care staff at Mount View Care Center in Wausau and the staff at Aspirus Hospital for their great care.
