Loren E. Small, Jr., age 91, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024, in Shawano. He was born on February 7, 1933, in Washington D.C., to the late Loren E. and Margaret (Suttles) Small, Sr. Loren served his country proudly in the United States Marines. On May 5, 1984, he was united in marriage to Louella Corn in Maywood, Illinois. The couple spent 34 wonderful years together before Louella's passing in 2018. Loren worked as a police officer on the Menominee Reservation then as a toolmaker at a machine shop. He was an active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. In his free time, Loren enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Loren is survived by his children, Catherine (John) Crosero, Deborah Small, Mary Menore, Elizabeth Walter; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Loren is preceded in death by sons, Jeffery and Russell; daughter, Kearson; brothers, Robert Small and John (Ruby) Small; sons-in-law, Bernard Menore and George Walter; and parents, Loren, Sr. and Margaret.

A memorial service for Loren will be held at 11:30 am on Friday April 19, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
