Loretta A. McPherson, age 89, passed away on Saturday July 22, 2023, in Appleton. Loretta was born on January 25, 1934, in Keshena, to the late Robert and Mary (Neconish) Soman. In 1973, she was united in marriage to Richard T. "Dickie" McPherson in Chicago, Illinois. Dickie preceded her in death in 1986. In Loretta's free time, she enjoyed going to pow-wows, traveling, playing slots, sewing and watching baseball. Loretta loved to spoil her grandsons, nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit.

Loretta is survived by her daughter Aletha McPherson; sons, Bobby "Bird" (Heidi) and Louis (Sandra "Bird") Traverzo; grandchildren, Raindio "Peanut", Riodayo "Stormy", Bobby Jr., Katelyn, Victor, Derrek and Daniel; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Romaine (Orland) Delabrue.

Loretta is preceded in death by three sisters, Marilyn J. Grignon, Sandra "Sandy" Ponfil and Marilyn in infancy and two brothers, Duane "Sonny" Soman and Bob Allen in infancy.

A funeral mass for Loretta will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday July 25, 2023, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the Dave Keifer Room at the Neopit Community Center beginning on Monday July 24, 2023, at 4:30 pm and continuing until the time of service on Tuesday.
