Obituary

Lorraine Lindfors, age 88, of Keshena, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 in Shawano. Lorraine was born in Chicago on October 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Sundberg) Nelson.  She graduated from Niles North High School and continued her education at North Park College.  Lorraine worked for several florists and also as a veterinary assistant.  On June 16, 1951, he was united in marriage to John Lindfors in Chicago.  In 1989, they moved to Legend Lake.  She started the Legend Lake Laughers. Lorraine was active in building Church on the Hill, where she attended church.  She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking and crafting.
Lorraine is survived by: three children, Thomas (Valerie Hogan) Lindfors, Linda (partner, Michele Sbano) Beam and James Lindfors; four grandchildren, Andrew Beam, Christopher Beam, Jennifer Lindfors and Katie Lindfors.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents and one brother, Allan.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Claudia Deede officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
