Lucille
Kaul
March 2, 1931 – June 9, 2026
Lucille Kaul, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 9, 2026. Born on March 2, 1931, to the late George and Jeanette (Kelsey) Bergener in Idaho. Lucille became a registered nurse and worked in health care for many years. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dixon Kaul on May 26, 1948, in Utah. They spent a wonderful 67 years together before he preceded her in death on October 8, 2016. In Lucille’s free time, she loved completing complex jigsaw puzzles, shopping on Amazon, reading, and traveling when she could. She was a woman who loved the simple things in life, like celebrating her children’s and grandchildren’s birthdays and spending as much time as she could with her family. She cherished being able to go out with her family and treat them to meals. Lucille was generous, loving, thoughtful, intelligent and sincere. Though she had a fun and adventurous youth, she was able to spend her later years calmly and surrounded by those who loved her. Lucille’s life was long and wonderful, and she will be deeply missed.
Lucille is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Mary Kaul and Joan Kaul; her grandchildren, Joe (Sue), Ted (Christine), Jake (Beka) and Patrick; her great-grandchildren, Grant, Evan. Alex and Winston; her special friend Melinda; her very special friend Kathi; her special niece Ann. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Dixon; her sons Jim, Bill, and Tom and her beloved cat, Big Boy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Theda Care Hospice who took such wonderful care of Lucille.
