Luella Marie Selle, age 85, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Luella was born on March 21, 1934, in Waupaca County, daughter of the late August, Jr. and Alice (Mehlberg) Wolf. She was a graduate of Marion High School. On June 6, 1953, Luella was united in marriage to Gordon Norman Selle at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Gordon preceded Luella in death in 1998. Luella had a strong faith and was a member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in Shawano where she was involved in prayer circles, the Ladies Aid, and LWML. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards in her free time. She was an excellent cook and baker, bringing rice pudding or desserts to every occasion. Luella enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening, sewing and needlepoint, and she made numerous pillows throughout the years for loved ones. On holidays and special occasions Luella was known for sending numerous cards and making many phone calls to her friends and family, making people feel special and loved. Luella was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Luella is survived by: her children, Charlene (Daryl) Seelig of Shawano, Christopher (Lisa) Selle of Strasburg, Colorado, and Clinton (Hope) Selle of Mequon; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Amber) Seelig, Stephanie Seelig, Stacey Seelig, Amie Seelig, Amanda Selle, Brett Buckley, Paisley Selle, Ava Selle, Henry Selle, and Lydia Selle; step-grandchildren, Kayla Beyersdorf and Riley Beyersdorf; one great-grandson, Jackson; and one brother, Kenneth (Bonnie) Wolf of Shawano. Luella is further survived by other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon and her parents, August and Alice Wolf.

A funeral service for Luella will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church with Pastor Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Jakobi Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
