Lydia L. Morales, age 46, passed away on September 22, 2023, in Cook County, Illinois. Lydia was born on March 9, 1977, in North Carolina to Cheryl (Norton) Morales and the late Ruben Morales. Her family loved her, was always dependable, put others first and children gravitated towards her. Lydia enjoyed arts and crafts. She was an avid fan of salsa music, artistic, and a talented dancer. Lydia had wicked sense of humor. She could embody an entirely new persona and make the whole room laugh with her impersonations. Her quick wit made for an endless amount of laughter. To say she was the life of any party was an understatement. She will be dearly missed.

Lydia is survived by her children, Jossalin (Matthew S.C.) Hafferty, Edward Jarquin and Ashley Jarquin; grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Melanie and Mason Salazar-Cabrera.; sisters, Alina (Kevin Ronzani) Morales, Nina (Kenyon) Cannady, Anita (Pasquinell), Alicia (Jose) Morales; and mother, Cheryl.

Lydia is preceded in death by her father, Ruben; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Patrick Baillie; paternal grandparents, Petra and Jesse Morales; and uncle, Sonny Baillie; godfather Tino.

A traditional Native American service for Lydia will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday September 28, 2023, at the Kinepoway Residence at N675 Eastline County Road in Keshena. Visitation will be held at the Kinepoway Residence starting on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at 3:00 pm and continuing until the time of service on Thursday.
