Lynn Marie Waubanascum, Ah-patch-kowa "Woman who Walks until Dawn" age 50 of Middle Village started her journey to the Spirit World on February 7th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Lynn was born January 18th, 1976, at Langlade Antigo Hospital to the late Alfred "Big Al" and Rose (Boivin) Waubanascum of James Street Neopit making her the youngest of their 6 living children. She had 4 of her own children, and ended her days with a total of 7, and a combined 15 beautiful grandchildren whom she shared with the love of her life- her fiancée, Gerald Hayes Sr.
Lynn lived her life to the fullest, always having the best sense of humor with a contagious laugh to keep everyone going. She was her mother's baby, caregiver, and a close best friend for the last 5 years. Lynnie loved music along with the singing, belting out, and dancing. She absolutely LOVED playing softball with family and friends. Cruising the woods and enjoying the outdoors- it would be guaranteed a good time with Lynn along. When she was out and about with her puffy bangs, she'd be surrounded by family and friends with a beaming smile. She was That Auntie|Second Mom|Big Sister and hang out with her nieces and nephews with no shame.
Lynn leaves behind her fiancé Gerald Hayes Sr and her dear mother Rose Waubanascum. Her siblings; Aldo "Colleen" Waubanascum of Keshena, Anita "Carl" Miller of Bowler, Louella "Ron Wescott" Waubanascum of Keshena, Carl "Melodie" Waubanascum of Shawano, and Mary Anne "Chuckie" Wynos of Keshena, Quas and Dana Waubanascum of Keshena, Alfred Lee Waubanascum of Keshena and Mitch'elle Waubanascum of Neopit. . Her 7 children Carl Allen Sr "Tiah," Lindsay "Jake," Nicole "Kyle," John Wynos Jr., Gerald Hayes Jr., Kelly Hayes-Malone, and Willie Hayes, her one and only God daughter Novahly Pyawasit, and 15 precious grand babies. Several few nieces, nephews, special brothers, special sisters, Aunties, Uncles, cousins whom she loved with all her being.
Ah-patch-kowa will meet her father - Alfred, Sister Rainelle, and many many ancestors with open arms and a celebration of their own. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center starting on Monday February 9, 2026, from 4:00 pm until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
