Lynn Hintz, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at home after a four-year long battle with cancer. She was born on September 30, 1954, in Shawano to the late Wilbur and Betty (Pleshek) Bubolz. Lynn married David Hintz on December 19, 1981, at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. Together they shared four children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lynn held a variety of positions throughout her life, including roles in nursing homes, grocery stores, hotels and at the Shawano Leader. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, trips to the casino, car rides in the fall to see the color change and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

Lynn is survived by her children, David (Trista) Groth, Jenny Groth and Sarah (Allen) Thomas; grandchildren, Katie (Brad) Brouhard, Kimberly (Nicholas) Katopol, Justin Brouhard, Ash-Lynn Teller, Kamea Teller, Jayce Teller, Dayne Groth, Mason Groth, Rachelle Krajewski, Lindsey Krajewski and Christine Krajewski; siblings, Christine (Paul) Stoehr, Vicky (Mark) Vigue, Wendy Gille, Beth (Shane) Schroeder, Wilbur Bubolz and John (Lisa) Bubolz; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her husband, David Hintz; parents, Wilbur and Betty Bubolz; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Dennis Krajewski; brother-in-law, Fred Gille; best friend, Shirley Timm; and infant brother, Kenneth Bubolz.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the American Legion Hall, 850 S. Lincoln St Shawano, WI 54166, from noon until 4:00 pm.
