Obituary

Madeline (Iona) Crowe age 99, entered the glory of her eternal home with her Savior Jesus Christ on October 1, 2012. She was born December 28, 1912 in Morgan Siding to Flora (Welch) and Henry Bruette. She married Joseph (Joe) Anthony Crowe in September of 1934 in Neopit. She was a life-long member of Morgan Assembly of God Church of Morgan Siding. Everything Madeline attempted in her life she excelled at. She was multi-talented, she did everything from gardening to carpentry. But first and foremost Madeline was a devoted Christian. She loved the Lord with all her being. Her faith came before all else. She lived her life to please God. Besides taking care of her family and her work in the church, Madeline worked as a cook, a seamstress, and owned a bakery. She was an excellent seamstress and crocheter. She made outfits that included hats and jackets. She made quilts and crocheted many blankets. Madeline and Joe went to North Carolina to help build a Native American Bible College. She not only cooked for the workers but she insulated the building and the building inspector said that he had never inspected an insulating job that was so well done. Many people benefitted from her generosity and love. She opened her home to every visiting minister that came to her church. Years later many of them would tell of the wonderful meals they were served. Her cooking and baking ability were renowned. You never left Madeline's home hungry. Everyone who had the opportunity to have Madeline in their lives was blessed. She will be greatly missed! We cannot begin to express how much we appreciated all of you! "Her children arise and call her blessed; and her husband also, and he praises her; many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:28-30 www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
