Makai M. Albrecht, age 12, of Bowler, was born to eternal life on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Green Bay, surround by his family. Makai was born in Antigo on August 2, 2005, the son of Shane Albrecht and Correne Roth.  When he was two, his family moved to Montana, returning to Wisconsin when he was six.  Makai played hard and lived life to the fullest.  He enjoyed little boy activities, trucks, riding bikes, as well as trying to keep his big sister in line, swimming by the lake, especially Jack's Dock at Flathead Lake – Elmo, MT, until his diagnoses of X-ALD. He was baptized into the Native American Church – Wittenberg Chapter and received his spiritual name, Ceexjii Ska, meaning White Buffalo.  Makai was an innocent, lovable, strong and courageous young man and was the family's "Super Hero".

Makai is survived by: his father, Shane (Teresa) Albrecht; his mother, Correne Roth; siblings, Mignon, Shayla, Ja'Nae, Daysia, Dominic, Destiney and Cyllis; paternal grandparents, Pamela Vele and Grant Albrecht; maternal grandparents, Corwin (Melanie) Roth and Marcella Burke; and his aunt, Patricia (Claude) Merckes.  He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Traditional services were held at 4:00p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018 until 12:00 noon on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Native American Church – Wittenberg Chapter with Lorenzo Funmaker officiating. A funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating and visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery.
