Margaret M. Boivin, age 71 of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her residence with her family at her side. Born on July 2, 1941 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine (Crawford) Tucker. Margaret was the head cook at the Menominee School District for 31 years. She enjoyed working with the children of the district, reading the Bible to her children, was a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan and always had her home open to the Schoenstatt priests and nuns. She married Robert "Mickey" Boivin on October 21, 1961 in Keshena. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2009. Margaret was a member of the St. Michael's Parish community. Survivors include: 5 children, Sue (Elmer) Denny of Keshena, Carla (Curtis) White of Keshena, Thomas Boivin of Gillett, Myron (Anna) Boivin of Shawano, Kenneth Martin of Keshena; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 god children. She is further survived by: 2 sisters, Yvonne "Connie" Genett of New London and Joyce (Michael) Richter of Shawano; and special friends, Mary Haack and Doreen Reiter. She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; 2 sons, Robert "Bobby Jo" Boivin and Duane Calvert; 4 sisters; and a brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Keshena with Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may call at the St. Michael's Parish Hall, Keshena from 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday until the time of the funeral on Thursday.
