Margaret Zemke Gruetzmacher, age 91, of Town of Wescott, died Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at Sparta, WI. Margaret was born on May 3, 1924 in Gillett, the daughter of the late William and Alma (Zander) Zemke. As a very young girl, she moved to the Town of Wescott, where she resided until recently. On February 17, 1973, she married Fred H. Gruetzmacher. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Margaret earned her beauty license and successfully managed her own salon for many years. She also assisted her husband in the Occo Feed business. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Chester) Holly of Tomah; two granddaughters, Rene Holly Klein of Cleveland, TN, and Kristin (Joseph) Frost of Lampasas, TX; one great grandson, Alexander Holly; one great granddaughter, Anna Marie Frost. She is further survived by her sister, Delores Laedtke of Shawano as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her father, William Zemke; her mother, Alma Zemke Lake; her step father, Robert Lake; her sisters, Amanda Wilke, Gertrude Morris, and Lucille Williamson; her brothers, Alfred and Walter Zemke; her step sons, Fritz and Raymond Gruetzmacher; and her step daughters, Dorothy Kruse and Vanice Wisnefski. Private family services were held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Schram officiating.
