Margaret Ann "Marge" Wagner, age 82 of the Town of Hartland, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on February 11, 1932 in Bowler, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Probst) Bernarde. Marge grew up and attended school in the Bowler area. On January 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Otto Wagner, Jr. in Bonduel. After marriage, the couple farmed and raised their family in the Town of Hartland where Marge continued to live the rest of her life. Marge took great pride in raising her family and helping her husband on the farm. She enjoyed quilting and donating many of her quilts to local churches. Marge also loved baking, especially on the holidays when she baked delicious cakes for everyone. Marge was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel where she was a former member of the Mission Circle and the St. Paul Quilters. Marge is survived by: her son, Ralph (Leanna Lorge) Wagner of Bonduel; 6 grandchildren, Todd (Brenda) Wagner, Michelle (Al) Jagodzinski, Tim Wagner, Jesse Wagner, Brent (Megan) Wagner, Kyle (Jenny) Wagner; 4 great-grandchildren, Riley, Lexus, Jeffrey, Breeana; 3 brothers, Edward (Jan) Bernarde of Germantown, John (Hazel) Bernarde of CO, Richard (Marlene) Bernarde of NC; and 2 sisters, Jennette (Doyle) Spahr of NE and Carol Eckhoff of CO. Marge was preceded in death by: her husband, Otto on October 1, 2013; her son Peter; a grandson, Jeffery; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
