Obituary

Margaret E. Ziemer, age 82, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home. Margaret was born on January 15, 1935 in Clinton, North Carolina, the daughter of the late William and Rena Taylor.  She attended Clinton Elementary School and Clinton High School.  On October 9, 1951, she was united in marriage to William C. Ziemer.  In 1953, Margaret and William moved to Wisconsin.  She liked to read, collect cookbooks, cooking, gardening, canning and flowers.  More than anything, Margaret loved visiting with her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by: her loving husband of 66 years, William; their six children, Sandra Stockinger of Thiensville, Susan (Ken) Zacher of Saukville, Bonnie (Tom) Sanfelippo of West Bend, Mike (Therese) Ziemer of West Bend, Debbie Saueressig of Cascade and Shelley (Gary) Hays of Manteno, IL; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Rena; her sisters, Ruby Erdman and Evelyn Zupan both of Milwaukee and Pearl Sneed of North Carolina; and her brother, Chester Taylor of North Carolina.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Salem United Methodist Church in Red River with Rev. Claudia Deede officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home from 2:00 – 5:00pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Salem United Methodist Church for the building fund.
