Marie Elaine Denomie, age 80, of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Shawano. She was born on January 24, 1942 to the late Merritt "Nick" and Amy (Gardner) Miller in Tomah. Marie graduated from Gresham High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Harvey Denomie, Jr. in Milwaukee in 1967. He preceded her in death. Marie worked at Shawano County Social Services for over 30 years until her retirement. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. She was a member of Immanuel Mohican Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Kris (Chuck) Pieper, Bonduel, Kathy Denomie, Gresham and Nikki (Mark) Taylor, Little Suamico; grandchildren, Brandon, Brent (Katie), Chase and Ciara (Kyler); brother and sister, Ken Miller, Marlyn (Mike) Waubanascum; and sister-in-law, Pam Miller. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters, Roger Miller, Arnold Miller, Marcelene Sparks and Margo (Don) Nelis, and nephews, Lee and Mike Waubenascum and Wayne Sparks.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the House of Prayer, "Zion Lutheran Church" of Gresham with lay minister, Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery.
