Marie A. "Mary" Lukasik (Styczynski), age 85, passed away on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at the home of Jeanette Lukasik and Todd Bosetski. Marie was born on April 9th, 1937, daughter of the late Frank "Fritz" and Rose (Chrusniak) Styczynski. On June 17th, 1961 Mary married the late Alvin "Red" Lukasik in Pulaski. Together they raised their seven children on their local dairy farm in Maple Grove. Mary was an excellent cook and baker and perfected her popular angel food cake. She enjoyed going to the casino with her sisters and daughters, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, feeding her calves on the farm, and attending family gatherings, especially with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is survived by: her four daughters and three sons, Judy (Charles) Hornick, Joe (Kari) Lukasik, Jon (Cara) Lukasik, Joyce Mendolla, Jeanette (Todd Bosetski) Lukasik, June (Dan) Winter, and Jim Lukasik; 12 grandchildren, Justin Hornick, Nicholas (fiancé Bailey Wirtz) Hornick, Jenna (Taylor) Splan, Logan Lukasik, Skyler (Aiden Linsmeyer) Lukasik, Megan (Matthew Van Straten) Mendolla, Matthew (Holly) Mendolla, Jaya (Olivia Warden) Bosetski, Mariah (fiancé Evan Peterson) Winter, Heaven (Hunter Budz) Winter, Brittney (Wesley Johnson) Winter, and Dalton Winter; three great grandchildren, Lillian and Cohen Peterson, and Nevaeh Van Straten. She is further survived by siblings, Sandy (Thomas) Engel, Clare (Jeff) Wnuk, Norbert (Mary Ann) Styczynski, and Thomas (Roxanne) Styczynski; sister-in-law, Barbara Styczynski; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers John and Joseph Styczynski, and a nephew, Craig Wnuk.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel at 11:00am on Friday, December 16th, 2022 with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank Jeanette Lukasik and Todd Bosetski for their exceptional care and their never ending patience while taking care of mom for the past seven years. Mom was the life of the party; though we are saddened by her passing, we are grateful she is at peace. She will be missed immensely.
