Marion E. Stefl, age 84, of Rothschild, formerly of Shawano, died on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau, WI, after years of struggling with Parkinson’s disease. Marion was born on June 28, 1942, in Waukesha City, the daughter of the late Fred and Molly (Berger) Kuehn. On December 1, 1962, she married the late Neil Stefl in Shawano. Marion started work as a CNA in 1973 at Evergreen Care Center in Shawano. For 40 years, she worked taking care of others with care and compassion. Due to health reasons, in 2021, she moved to the Wausau area. Marion enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, going to the casino, and watching the Brewers.

Marion is survived by her children, Margaret (Mark) Hlava of Rothschild, Mary (Rory) Burke of Seymour, Thomas (Amy) Stefl of Shawano, Frank (Linda) Stefl of Wausau, and Robert (Lisa) Stefl of Madison; grandchildren, Katie, Tristin, Alyssa, Holly, Emily, Ryder, Logan, Carly, and Frankie Ann; great-grandchildren, Johanna, Thea, Ellis, Cal, and Henry; and sisters, Gertrude Zander of Shawano, Jane Marten of Mattoon, and Patsy Schmidt of Gillett. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; granddaughter Lilly; and multiple sisters and brothers.

A funeral service for Marion will be held at 11:00 am on Monday October 5, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Deacon Jim Lonick officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
