Marion J. Swett, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Shawano. She was born on September 23, 1929, to the late Merle and Mary Belle (Boden) Harris in Whitewater. She graduated from UW-Whitewater and went on to teach 4 th grade in Kenosha. Following that, she taught on military bases where she met her husband, Lee Swett, in Germany. They were wed in Whitewater on June 22, 1957 and lived in Kenosha. After retirement, she moved to Legend Lake. Marion was a sweet and giving person. She was involved in a book club, gardening club, and enjoyed visiting with friends. Marion enjoyed golfing and bowling in her younger years.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Swett; two nieces and three nephews, Marie (Roger) Parker, Candy Strand, Steven Davidson, Mark (Terri) Davidson, and Paul (Kris) Davidson.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother and sister, Gerald Harris, and Joyce Davidson.
A funeral service for Marion will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Bruch Funeral Home, 3503 Roosevelt Road, Kenosha. Burial will be in the Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, and on Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at Bruch Funeral Home in Kenosha.
