Marjorie A. "Margie" Ainsworth, 89, of Bonduel, passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2019.
Margie was born in Bonduel, Wisconsin on Sunday, February 17, 1929, to the late Herbert and Hertha (Boettcher) Peterman. On Flag Day, June 14, 1952 Margie was united in marriage to Gordon G. Ainsworth at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Gordon preceded Margie in death on April 9, 2016. Gordon and Margie were very proud of their six strong and independent daughters that they raised on their dairy farm near Frazer Corners. After retiring from farming in 1987, Gordon and Margie built a new home in Bonduel. Margie was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor where she was a member of the Women's Group and a past treasurer. She was also very active in the community and proud that she served as a 4-H leader for 25 years. Margie loved the Shawano County Fair and even submitted exhibits as recently as this past year. She served on the Bonduel Archives Board of Directors and enjoyed researching ancestries and local history. Margie also enjoyed her time as a member of the UW Extension Homemaker's Club, selling flowers at the green house, serving in the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as being a member of the Republican Party. She loved her sports and followed the Badgers, Packers, Bucks, and more. Even with her ever growing family she never missed a birthday, anniversary, or special event. Margie loved truly and was truly loved. She will be deeply missed by the friends and family she leaves behind.
Margie always wanted a large family. She is survived by: five loving daughters, Barb (Charlie) McKeefry, Deb (Brian) Schneider, Sandy Swietlik, Terri (Kevin) Ferfecki, and Diane (Gary) Przybylski; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Matt) Kunstman, Sydney & Brynley, Kristin (Clint) Whitehorse, Brooklyn & Bailey, Aaron (Katie Rasmussen) Schneider, Emma, Mady & Audrina, Jessica (Matteo) Reginato, Gianluca, Rebecca (Brad) Chriske, Brady, Beau & Blaire, Johnny (Amber) Swietlik, Harper, Gregery McKeefry, Brianna Schneider, Benjamin (Stacey) Ainsworth, Jackie (Kyle) Majerowski, Andrea Schneider, Lindsey Przybylski, Branden (Maureen) Schneider, Taylor Przybylski, and Karly (Eric) Truss. Margie is further survived by numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Gordon; a daughter, Connie Swiecichowski; her parents; and four sisters.
A funeral service for Margie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the Township of Lessor, N1731 County Road S Pulaski, WI 54162, with Rev. Wayne Garman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the Bonduel Archives, or the Ainsworth Memorial Children's collection at the Shawano Library.
Margie's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents at Kindred Hearts in Shawano for making her feel so welcomed.
