Obituary

Marjorie M. Reedy, age 80, of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Gresham. She was born on October 11, 1941 to the late Arlene (Flauger) Cerveny and James J. Cerveny, Sr. in Shawano. Marjorie graduated from Bowler High School in 1959. On February 6, 1959, she married the love of her life, Robert E. Reedy Sr. They celebrated their 63 rd anniversary with family. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling the states, playing cards, quilting and tending to her flowers. She loved sharing her talents in the kitchen by teaching and sharing her recipes for canning, baking cookies and making candy. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was shown with her beautiful smile and hugs. She loved playing cards with them, especially winning at UNO and Sheepshead. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis. She taught catechism and was a member of the Altar Society.

She is survived by: her husband, Robert Reedy Sr.; children, Robert (Sally) Reedy, Jr., Roger Reedy, Rita (Allen) Hartwig and Ryan (Jenny) Reedy; grandchildren, Kyle (Cortney) Reedy, Stephanie (Daniel Michonski) Kropf, Lacey Estes, Casey Reedy, Betsy Hartwig, Robin (Carly) Reedy, Dorothy (Michael) Reedy and Jake Chojnacki; great-grandchildren, Veya Salvator, Shannon Estes, Blake Reedy, Azula Estes, Brock Reedy and Aerabella Kropf; and brother, Ronnie Malueg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, and Baby Reedy.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 8, 2022, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with Fr. Robert Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Leopolis.

The family of Marjorie would like to thank our caregiver and friend, Dawn Papendorf for her compassionate and loving care that she provided for her last 16 months. They would also like to thank hospice, Angels, Lakeland Care and all family and friends who helped Marjorie through her journey.
