Obituary

Mark Anthony Bonnert, age 59, of Leopolis, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his home with his mother and sister by his side. Mark was born on August 28, 1957 in Muskego, WI, the son of Virginia (Moesch) Clark and the late Richard Bonnert. In 1963, his family moved to New Berlin where he attended school and was a 1976 graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Mark was a member of Lakeview Trap and Sport Club. He was an expert marksman and won several high gun, high point and team trap shoots. Although Mark loved all hunting and fishing, duck hunting was his favorite. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful trap, hunting and fishing friends, as well as his extended family at Hunter's Nest in Muskego. In May of 2013, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and in June, he moved in with his sister, Annette, in Leopolis where he enjoyed his last few years hunting, fishing and doing as he loved and pleased.
Mark is survived by his mother, Virginia Clark; two sisters, Lorie Benak and Annette Bonnert; several nieces and nephews; and "daughter", Autumn, his golden retriever.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Bonnert and his grandparents, George and Myrtle Bonnert and Ruben and Gladys Moesch.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at The Hunter's Nest, S80W14401 Schultz Lane, Muskego, WI.
