Mark Anthony LaTender, "Hoss", age 57, passed away on Friday November 22, 2024, in Keshena. Mark was born on August 4, 1967, in Shawano, to Simon and Carol (Vigue) LaTender. Hoss's passion throughout his life was sports. As he got older, Hoss focused on sports trivia and had an impressive wealth of knowledge regarding sports facts. He enjoyed football, golf, baseball, basketball, and bowling. Hoss graduated from Menominee Indian High School. When he attended Shawano High School, he played various sports, most notably their football team. He was a member of the bowling team, "The Chiefs", who had won multiple league championships. Hoss enjoyed listening to classic rock including bands such as Van Halen, The Eagles, ACDC, Kiss, and many more.

Hoss is survived by his daughter, Karah; mother, Carol LaTender; siblings, Lisa Dickenson, Lori (Craig) Corn, and Kas LaTender; nieces and nephews, Lori Beth, Josh (Linsey), Joseph, Kemewaen, Namakesah, Bailey, Dayton, Chelsey (Dillon), Ty, Keeden, and James; great nieces and nephews, Jamison, Joshua, Dereck, Olivia, Darnell, Jerrin, Kenny Jr., Marcus, and Ellie; and special friends, Arnold Peters and Darrin Wilber.

Hoss is preceded in death by his father, Simon LaTender; brother, Kenny John LaTender; brother-in-law, Joseph Besaw Sr.; and nephews, Kenny, Chance, and Conner LaTender.

A funeral service for Hoss will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 26, 2024, at the LaTender residence, N886 Lyons Road in Keshena. Visitation will begin on Monday November 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm and continue until the time of service. There will be a dinner following the service at St. Michael's Parish Hall.
