Obituary

Mark A. Wilber, age 41 of Keshena, passed away unexpectedly as he slept on Saturday September 29, 2012. He was born on March 18, 1971 in Appleton, to Sylvia (Otradovec) Wilber and the late David H. Wilber Sr. Mark was a member of the 1989 graduating class of Premontre Catholic High School in Green Bay and a 1990 graduate of diesel technology school at Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming. In 2012 Mark proudly became a Wisconsin State Certified Flagman through his participation in the TRANS program at the College of Menominee Nation. Mark was married on November 15, 2008 to Jennifer Dixon in Neopit. Mark was employed as a diesel technician with the Menasha Corporation in Appleton, Eagle Ford Truck in Green Bay, Wilber's Truck World of Little Chute and Menominee Transportation Department. Mark also worked as a logger on the Menominee Indian Reservation sawing, skidding, driving trucks and repairing machinery. Mark enjoyed people. He was someone who was always around. He enjoyed spending time telling and re-telling stories and took real joy in generally being a pest! He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Mark was a gentle and loving person who enjoyed a laugh and enjoyed people. Mark is survived by: his wife, Jennifer of Keshena; his mother, Sylvia Wilber of Bass Lake; 2 sisters, Debra DeLeon and Renee (William) Duquain of Boyds, Maryland; and 5 brothers, David (Anna Marie) Wilber Jr. of Harpers Ferry, WV, Douglas Wilber, Paul Wilber, Matt Wilber and Jonathan (Yvette) Wilber all of Keshena. He is further survived by: nieces and nephews, Dacey Wilber, Britney DeLeon, Bryan Lepscier Jr., Destiny Lepscier, Justin Lepscier, Joseph Kaquatosh, Megan Wilber, Andrew Wilber, Haley Wilber, Paula Wilber, Paul Wilber Jr., Bernard Wilber; and his godson, Craig Grignon Jr. Mark was preceded in death by: his father, David Wilber Sr.; his brother, Joe Wilber; his sister, Pam Wilber; and his nephew, Corey Podnar. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett, Rev. David McElroy O Praem and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Friends may call after 1pm on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at the David and Sylvia Wilber Residence at W112 S.E. Bass Lake Road in Keshena and again at 9:30am until the time of services on Thursday October 4th at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena. A parish wake service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Wilber Residence. Mark will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Keshena beside his dad, his brother and his sister.
