Marlene M. Buettner, age 67 of Cecil, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Born on April 30, 1945 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Marcella (Bankert) Boerst. She grew up in the Bonduel area and graduated from Bonduel High School in the Class of 1963. She married Robert Buettner on May 27, 1967 in Bonduel. The couple lived in California and Maine for several years, moving back to this area 40 years ago. They lived near Cecil where Marlene loved to grow flowers and vegetables in the garden, make afghans for family members, cooking and baking and spending time in the backyard watching the birds. She was a big Badger boys basketball fan and most of all enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Bonduel. Marlene is survived by: her husband of 45 years, Robert; 3 daughters, Kristine (Chris) Lindemuth of Kaukauna, Dorene Buettner of Bonduel, Shelly (Brandon) Wudtke of Bonduel; 4 grandchildren, Connor, Dayton, Gracyn, Cole; 3 siblings, Maribeth (Roger) Peterman, Marsha Boerst and Mike (Pattie) Boerst all of Bonduel; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
